Redcastle Hotel, in County Donegal, has one of the most scenic settings around. It’s pulled up to the shores of the Lough Foyle on the Inishowen Peninsula. And there are sea-view rooms, or balcony rooms, to make the most of the panoramas. There’s a private nine-hole parkland golf course in front of the property, adding to the striking outlook.
You can take in views of the golf greens and Lough Foyle from the Captain’s Bar. It’s a top spot for casual dining and drinks, serving the likes of stone-baked pizzas, fish and chips and burgers. But The Edge Restaurant is a sound choice for seasonal, fresh meals. The views are to die for and it’s even won Ulster Hotel Restaurant of the Year.
The spa and leisure centre has all the works, from a pool, sauna and steam room to a gym with state-of-the-art fitness equipment. Pampering-wise, you can book in for treatments using organic VOYA products. And, when you fancy venturing out, Leisureland Redcastle amusement park is just across the water for a fun day out.
